  • Summary

    Dime is searching for an Enterprise Risk & Controls Manager to partner with departments and businesses across Dime and develop a strong internal controls strategy. In this newly created position, you'll lead our execution of that strategy while putting an emphasis on adding value to Dime. You'll be key in helping align the pillars of Dime’s internal controls strategy to identify and mitigate risks and to bring organizational processes and controls in line while meeting stakeholders' expectations.


    Lead Dime’s internal controls program from design to implementation

    • Create a risk assessment program to identify opportunities for process and control enhancements and develop recommendations to ensure risks are sufficiently mitigated
    • Understand how Dime’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Summarize and communicate to executive management any noted issues, risks, and business impact of controls deficiencies and track remediation to completion
    • Create, review, and maintain end-to-end process documents around internal controls—including narratives, flowcharts, and risk matrices
    • Manage complex changes in business events and system implementations to ensure our processes and IT control areas are being considered

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

    • Minimum 6 years’ experience in internal controls, internal and/or external audit
    • CIA, CISA and/or CPA a must
    • Strong understanding of internal controls and ERM COSO Framework
    • Sound understanding of computer applications, work flows, control design policies and procedures
    • Thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance policies and procedures
    • Must have extremely strong interpersonal skills – collaboration across multiple business and technology functions, relationship building and consensus building
    • Effective listener and communicator, verbally and in writing
    • Sound organizational abilities with the capacity to be innovative and think creatively
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to react quickly, under adverse operating conditions
    • Excellent people skills required in order to influence department and external stakeholders and to deliver results under tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills essential to effectively drive change across culturally diverse workforce.
