  • Summary

    Responsible for managing the supply of products and services for the Bank’s facilities.  In addition, the candidate will have responsibility for planning, directing, and overseeing building operations, space planning, building renovations, new builds, and facilities services. Candidate will be responsible for developing a cost-effective strategy for procurement and facilities management that aligns with the Bank’s strategic initiatives. Candidate will monitor and analyze facilities-related expenditures, develop and maintain a comprehensive space plan, and the allocation of office space to departments within the context of that plan.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop annual procurement and facilities budget in collaboration with department managers and work collaboratively with accounting team to monitor to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Streamline, automate and oversee Dime’s procurement processes, including vendor management.
    • Proactively manage building maintenance, including preventative maintenance and ongoing inspections to identify repair needs.
    • Supervise all capital improvement / constructions projects for corporate office(s) and branch store locations.
    • Oversee Dime’s Space Planning Program, including space allocation, moves, and realignment.
    • Proactively manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, adherence to SLAs, and alignment to corporate initiatives.
    • Work collaboratively with HR and Security, to ensure workplace safety with respect to the design and maintenance of workspace and traffic flows.
    • Ensure procurement and facility management practices align with Dime’s BCP/DR needs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years’ relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in procurement and facilities management in a multi-location company is required. Experience in construction management is also necessary.
    • Experience in budgeting, contract negotiations, and project planning is required. Proven track record of leading simultaneous projects on time and on budget will be expected.
    • Technological capabilities will be required, including Microsoft products, workflow technologies, procurement and facilities management systems, etc.
    • Leadership experience and proven ability to work with cross functional teams to drive results and complete projects timely and on budget are necessary.
    • Strong communication skills required.
